The Brite Spot has been serving Los Angeles since 1949. Located on iconic Sunset Boulevard in the city’s Echo Park neighborhood, the Brite Spot serves as a gathering place for the community—bringing together original and new residents, a bustling creative industry, and families, in the way that only a diner can.
Over the years, the restaurant has been host to a number of different owners and operators. In 2019, local residents/husband and wife team Jaime Turrey and Brooke Fruchtman (who also own two other restaurants in Echo Park—Ostrich Farm and Bar Calo) became next in line to reimagine the Brite Spot.
Their plan—to restore the restaurant back to a classic American diner—is already underway, with more exciting changes to come in the months ahead. During this time, the Brite Spot remains open, so please stop by!
